History of FOCUS

2009 Marks the 25th year of existence for FOCUS. Begun in 1984 through a combined effort of Sister Rosemary Sullivan and Pastor John Bacher, FOCUS has continued their idea of all Christian Churches working together in the name of Christ to minister to the needy in Harris County.

FOCUS survived and thrived for many years with various ministry areas scattered in several offices in the county. In 2006 a 100 year old house in Hamilton was purchased and all the ministries were moved under one roof.
Tremendous need caused the addition of another 2500 square feet of floor space and in January of 2009 this new space was opened and serves as the food bank and emergency services offices as well as badly need storage space.

History is important as a stepping stone to the future, but our desire and mission to care for the needy in Jesus name is preeminent.
